Come celebrate San Joaquin County’s abundant agricultural offerings, especially its prized Zinfandel grapes, and visit with the Clark Man at the annual Lodi Grape Festival.
The event, scheduled for Thursday through Sunday (September 15-18), will offer the anticipated 60,000-plus visitors a plethora of outstanding food presentations, wine tastings, and entertainment, as well as exhibitors showing off their wine-themed wares.
Clark Pest Control is a proud sponsor of this valley tradition, and we invite customers and festival attendees to visit our booth during the event. You’ll find us located in the Clark Eco-Venture Pavilion, and on Thursday night the booth will feature the famous Clark Bug Zoo, which allows visitors get up close and personal with a whole range of the fascinating arthropods that share our environment.
In addition to the Bug Zoo, members of the Clark Pest Control team will be on hand to show off one of our vintage 1950s Clark service trucks and to answer any questions you might have about pests that may be bugging you and your family.
Other activities scheduled to take place in the Clark Eco-Venture Pavilion include sessions on how to build your own radio-controlled model airplane and the Lodi Serpentarium, which will feature false water cobras, Burmese pythons, rainbow boas, anacondas, monitor lizards, tortoises, geckos, and frogs.
The Clark Bug Zoo, a favorite of festival visitors and the Clark Man, will host its show on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Clarks’ resident Bug Zookeeper, Fred Speer, tells the Clark Man he will be bringing a wide selection of exotic and fascinating animals with him for visitors to view close up and hold if they wish.
From demonstrations featuring tarantulas and scorpions to putting a Madagascar hissing cockroach in the palm of your hand, the Bug Zoo has something for everyone. Other arthropods scheduled to make an appearance at the festival include:
· Pseudo scorpions
· Vietnamese giant centipede
