Mike Parker is now on deck speaking about GMP's. Mike has been with Clark for 33 years and is truly a professional in the GMP arena. 

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Refers to the the practices set by the U.S. Food Drug Administration

  • 1905 the book "The Jungle" exposed unsanitary conditions in the meat industry
  • 1906 Pure Food and Drug Act was enacted
  • 1938 U.S. Food Drug and Cosmetics  act became a Federal Law
  • 1970, to further explain the FDC Act, GMP's were published

GMP's (Clark Standards) Covered

  1. Hand Washing
  2. Cuts and Abrasions
  3. No Jewelry  
  4. Food, tobacco and beverages are not allowed in restricted areas
  5. No gum chewing 
  6. Clean and neat uniforms
  7. Hair protection
  8. iPods, MP3 playes and etc. cannot be worn while preforming a service
  9. propped doors allow rodents in 
  10. Head, Eye and ear protection are to worn as required
  11. Lab Jackets are to worn as required
