Behavior
The most common of the moth family is the Indian meal moth, also know as Pantry and flour moths. Indian meal moths have the ability to get into surprisingly tight places. They are also notoriously difficult to get rid of.

The Webbing clothes moth and Casemaking clothes moth are considered fabric pests. The Casemaking clothes moth feeds on items made of both animal and plant materials where as the webbing clothes moth feeds on synthetic and or animal materials.

Treatment
Prior to treatment for fabric pests suspected clothing should be inspected and dry cleaned or washed in hot water and detergent as directed by the label.

If problem is a food/pantry problem then cupboards need to be cleaned out and are food inspected and/or discarded prior to treatment.
