Oriental Cockroach
Physical Characteristics
The adult male Oriental cockroach is 1 long and females about 1 1/4 long. Their bodies are oval in shape and usually shiny black but may vary to dark reddish brown in color. 
Behavior
The Oriental cockroach survives quit well in the out doors and can be found typically under debris, stones, leaf litter and porch voids and can survive up to 13 weeks in freezing weather. The Oriental cockroach will gain access to a dwelling via door thresholds, under sliding glass doors, along utility pipes, air ducts, unscreened vents and floor drains entering from the lowest point and traveling to upper floors.
Oriental cockroaches will feed on all kinds of food and decaying organic matter but prefer to feed on starchy foods and omit a strong roachy odor because they feed on filth.
Treatment
Clark's Year Round Pest Control will control most infestations of Oriental cockroaches on the exterior; however, if interior infestations are a problem the technician will treat the interior as well. In addition the Clark Technician will advise the customer on ways to help eliminate harborage points that may be contributors to the problem.
